The stack that fits Daybreak's tight envelopes best is a dual-fuel system: Wattsmart Homes pays $1,450 for a qualifying AHRI-rated dual-fuel heat pump paired with a high-efficiency furnace, and ThermWise adds its dual-fuel Tier 1 rebate of up to $1,000 (or $300-$350 on a standalone high-efficiency furnace) plus up to $100 on a smart thermostat. A qualifying cold-climate heat pump upgrade earns $450 through Wattsmart.

Applications have deadlines (180 days for Wattsmart, 6 months for ThermWise) and require a program-participating contractor, which we are. Mechanical permits go through South Jordan City, and Daybreak's design review runs alongside. We manage all three so the homeowner signs once and stays comfortable.
